Conveniently located and good hotel for either business or sightseeing. It’s only a couple of minutes walk to the riverside. Check in was straightforward and very quick. The room was a good size, shower room was fairly compact but had a decent shower. The rooms seemed to be well soundproofed with very little noise heard. The air con was a bit noisy and would cut in & out. No iron within the room but an ironing room was available on one of the other floors. Breakfast was typical for a European hotel with a mix of continental and hot options. Everything was self service. Check out was quick. I’d happily stay here again when visiting Budapest.

Spent a week here to celebrate my birthday only checked out yesterday. Before giving the usual review I have to say how fantastic and professional the staff were. My husband was taken ill and needed an ambulance on the morning of my birthday. The staff were so supportive, contacting the ambulance, translating for us when they arrived. Due to a virus I couldn't accompany my husband as the hospital had a no visitor policy. The staff couldn't do enough to help and support me. At hand over the staff told the new team and ensured they were briefed to help. Thankfully he got discharged after 8 hours and the staff all asked after both of us. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the city and I felt really safe going out and at around the area on my own. The rooms were comfortable and more importantly this time of year warm.Tea and coffee provided but no milk but it was no problem to buy some at a nearby shop and use the room fridge. The toiletries were lovely a luxurious brand, despite the bathroom being small it was serviceable. Breakfast was good and items replenished quickly. If returning to Budapest I would stay here again.

In general, this hotel is ok for weekend tourists as it's located perfectly on Vaci ut., a main shopping street and right near the Danube. However, there is also a downside. Breakfast service staff is too fast, can't turnaround for a new coffee and find your table emptied, even if e.g. cup still full. Warm food is only luke warm. The Privilege Lounge is not worth mentioning. One white, one red wine, one champagne. No beer, no spirits. Small salami and cheese baguette snacks and some cake. The sweet colored popcorn is aged, tastes terrible. Same the Smarties next too it. All over there are fruit flies, the food is not covered up. The rooms are ok in size, however compared to e.g. German Mercure hotels, minibar is not complementary in Privilege Rooms.
