Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel

The location is excellent, but the main attraction and asset of this hotel is the restaurant/bar. The bar staff are excellent. They are very professional, and for someone like me who travels to Budapest for the first time, they make me feel at home away from home! They give me Delicious wine! A Wonderful Stay – Especially the amazing Bar & Bistro! I stayed at this hotel in Budapest a few days ago and had a fantastic experience overall. The location was perfect—central, yet peaceful—and the hotel itself was clean, stylish, and comfortable. The rooms were well-maintained and cozy, and the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. But the real highlight of my stay was the hotel’s Bar & Bistro. What an incredible place! The atmosphere was relaxed but vibrant, with a modern design and a great selection of drinks and food. The cocktails were top-notch, and the food menu had some delicious surprises. What truly stood out, though was the staff at the bar. They were warm, professional, and made us feel right at home every evening. Their energy, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made the experience memorable. It quickly became our go-to spot, even when we weren’t out exploring the city. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest—and make sure you don’t miss a night (or three!) at the Bar & Bistro. It's a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

Hotel is in a great location. Reception although the gentleman was welcoming & checked passports etc we had to walk our bags to luggage room ourselves even though 4 staff were available at reception to assist no one offered. It is not especially friendly reception service the wait for our room was over 4 hours and although I went to a young lady at reception at 2:57pm I was informed room not available until 3:00pm for a tired traveler this was not the service I required. Restaurant was excellent service for afternoon tea great refreshments and we went back for dinner and once again service and food excellent. I recommend the restaurant.
