Mercure Carcassonne la Cite Hotel

Only a short 2 night stay. The room wasn't the largest I've ever had but fine for a short stay and it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and very tolerant of our less than perfect French. The buffet breakfast catered for all tastes and was very good. Location is great for the medieval city and the Bastide. Will definitely go back.

This was our second stay here with our dog. This visit we arrived to our room to find a dog bed and a dog bowl with treats. Our senior dog was delighted. As Accor members we travel with our dog often. We always email the property ahead of time about our dog to make sure everything will be okay for her stay. This has never happened. The small things make such a big impact. Every time our dog came back to our room she happily searched for more treats. She had an extra pep to her step for the entire stay. Thank-you for thinking of her! The hotel is in a great location. Clean. Comfortable beds. Free parking. Both visits were in July 2024 and 2025.

Great simple hotel. Super friendly staff. Pool water very cold in early August. Loose dog in hallways which spooked my kids and jumped on my 4year old. Good breakfast and bar service. Poor poolside snack bar (the waiter had no idea what to do). Great room sizes and decor. Noisy hallways at night.
