We moved from the B & B hotel in Cergy to the Mercure and must say that it was a downgrade. Strange that both Hotels have a 4 * grading... Here are the good and bad points Good points: 1.Centrally located and close to the Cergy Prefecture train station and University. 2.Good check in and checkout 3.Check out at 12h00 Bad points: 1.Very poor looking restaurant in front of Hotel that is for sale,creating not a good impression! 2.Trying to be too fancy in presentation of breakfast - i dont want to boil my own eggs if i stay in a 4* hotel,Hotel staff not familiar with milk frothing machine,poor selection of food and display,no proper plates- dont want to eat of a narrow platter.Coffee machine off when arriving for bf at 08h00 am.Please copy B & B hotel with fresh squeezed orange juice.. 3.Paid 16 Euro for a salmon and mash placed in a glass bowl.Shocking presentation,taste and price! 4.Spider web in corner in room 409.Was not cleaned in the 3 days that we stayed there... 5.Bathroom very small and shower water ends up on the floor,due to the glass flap mounted on the bath.
