Really peaceful hotel on the outskirts of Zwolle, there's a lot of parking space, rooms are pretty clean and peaceful. The resturant is decent. The water pressure (for those who care) is mediocre
I did the booking online and gave my debit card. When I went to pay they told me that they gonna hold the money at my arrival from the card and then pay after my one day stay. I explained them that this was a DEBIT card, as a result I got charged twice. Of course the second charge with not go through, but this will happen after 2-3 weeks. As a result I have approx. 120 frozen in my DEBIT card for the next 2-3 weeks. Not a a very good job guys . . .
The hotel was decent, staff on site was friendly had the room was reasonably clean. The bathroom however wasn't very clean and the pressure on the shower head was equivalent to that of a drooling goat unless you were using the tiny jet setting on the shower head. The customer service however is terrible as I booked this my partner told me she gave me the wrong date, so within 30 minutes of making the booking I requested a change of dates as a mistake was made during booking. The response I received was that this was a non-flexible booking where changing the dates or money back was not an option. As well as being inflexible with the date, there were extra costs on checking in which were not clearly communicated, but hidden in the wall of tiny letters that surround your goal, the booking. All in all this has been my last stay at any Mercure hotel.
