Mercure Dinan Port Le Jerzual

We felt in a cocoon of loveliness at the Mercure Dinan. It was the nicest and probably the most expensive (only a standard room) place we stayed on our motorcycle tour. The restaurant only serves breakfasts, there are plenty of options for evening meals within easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice at the spacious buffet counters. All public areas are spacious, well furnished and very well served by the bar. The riverside location is delightful. Scenic and well placed for countryside or city exploration on foot. Electric boats for hire on the opposite bank. Jacuzzi warm and wonderful. I think the fitness room and jacuzzi were open 7.30am to 9pm and the pool open 10am until 9pm. Since latest check out was at midday we enjoyed hotel facilities during our overnight stay. All staff members we encountered were truly hospitable and helpful. Bedroom and bathroom extremely clean, comfortable and well designed/functional. My only (minor) criticism is that big mugs for the tea and coffee should be provided. The car park entrance has a security barrier, there is no designated motorcycle parking, so you must park (on smooth tarmac) amongst the cars. Luckily we found a corner spot close to a rear entrance.

A Perfect Stay at Mercure Dinan Port Le Jerzual! We just completed a wonderful four-day stay at the Hôtel Mercure Dinan Port Le Jerzual and couldn't be more impressed! From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was absolutely faultless. The friendly staff truly made our visit enjoyable, always ready with a smile and helpful advice. The breakfast was a real highlight, offering a vast and delicious selection that set us up perfectly for each day of exploring. While the hotel doesn't offer evening meals, this was absolutely not an issue for us. The incredible location next to the river means you have fantastic dining options just a short stroll away, both by the riverside and up into the charming town. We enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and boulangeries at our leisure. And speaking of amenities, the pool is a real bonus, providing a refreshing way to relax after sightseeing. It's clear the cleaners work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain the hotel's impeccable standards; their dedication truly shines through. Plus, the secure on-site parking was a huge relief, leaving us feeling completely worry-free about our vehicle. The hotel's location is simply incredible. Nestled right next to the river, it offers picturesque views and is just minutes away on foot from charming restaurants and excellent boulangerie. It's the ideal base for exploring Dinan. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will 100% be coming back! Highly recommend!

Nice hotel close to the water, which offers a good breakfast, but only serve instant coffee or Nespresso, not the typical bean to cup.. A gym is available, but the machines are very old and a partly broken, all outdated. The staff is very kind. Rooms are modern and clean. AC works, but is a little weak.
