A very enjoyable hotel My partner and I stayed here in November for a few nights on a get away to the Edinburgh Christmas Market. The hotel was great, the room was very comfortable and clean; the layout reminded me of the rooms in a Marriott Courtyard hotel. The bed was comfortable and the air con/heating was good. The shower was also pleasant and clean. The reception staff were friendly and helpful with directions on how to get places too. I cannot comment on breakfast as we didn’t have it, but we did order a pizza and dessert from room service. It took a short while to come and was a bit pricey but it was delicious when it did come (even if it was clearly a Chicago Town frozen pizza 😉) - the desserts were lovely though too! Location is good, it’s walking distance to high street, castle and old town. It felt safe and there was a small Tesco just over the road for bits and bobs you may need. My only negative was that when I booked it through easyJet holidays, the agency easyJet used had booked a twin room with two separate beds instead of a double, which I didn’t realise until we arrived - this isn’t the issue of the hotel though, and was merely a small inconvenience, we just pushed the beds together so no big deal. I definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to return - in fact I am considering to return here for our next trip to Edinburgh - I will make sure to try the breakfast next time too!
Lovely hotel which we have stayed in a couple of times now. Just a 15min walk into the centre. Rooms are lovely but lack any draws for storage. Staff are lovely and helpful. Last day I fell ill and we were able to stay a little longer in the room until I felt well enough to leave without an extra charge. Very grateful so thank you. Bar and food prices are reasonable for a city centre hotel Breakfast if prebooked is £15 at time of stay. Great selection of cooked and continental. We are planning another visit next year so will definitely be back
Good hotel a stones throw away from the old town and city centre. Rooms were comfortable with all amenities as expected, sliding door to the en-suite which left nothing to the imagination though! Buffet breakfast was provided in our package and was rather good, would recommend having a good look at prices before you book as we could have saved 50% if we had not booked in advance and just gone in a spontaneous trip.
