Mercure Ferrara

A pleasant hotel with very friendly and smiling staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms. The location of the hotel is right next to the Estenze castle and on short walking distance from the city center. Decent breakfast. Private parking provided little away from hotel.

Clean and comfortable. Parking nearby with easy SUV access. Absolutely no complaints. Everything oerfect. Reception perfect. Breakfast perfect.

staff is very nice, location is the best in Ferrara, however a few items are needed here: shower has no shelf or ledge or anywhere but the small floor to put anything - bar-soap, shampoo, wash rag, etc; in the room: window screens in all the bedrooms to allow fresh air in without flys and bugs, (this will save energy money too), and also weather stripping insulation around the doors to each rooms because an enormous amount of light (& noise) bleeds in from the hallways; and also inside the rooms: black tape should be installed on all the l.e.d. lights which are annoying at night when trying to sleep - especially the smoke alarm blinking over the bed. the breakfast should have more healthy items too, (currently there are too many sweets, sugar, and caffeine); lastly there is no option to add the breakfast at the discounted rate before arrival, which should be an option when managing your reservation, currently no one can do this if you were unable to do so when initially booking.
