Mercure Grenoble Meylan

The hotel is located in Meylan, very convenient if you're visiting Grenoble or, like us, traveling for skiing. We've been there three times, and each visit has been a pleasure. The rooms are very tidy, spacious, and modern. This hotel is aging gracefully. The staff is very attentive to guests' comfort, and the receptionists are always ready to help. We absolutely love the breakfasts at Hotel Meylan. Even when the electricity went out during breakfast, the staff resolved the issue quickly.

My experience during my stay was quite disappointing. I arrived in the middle of a hot summer, having specifically booked a room with air conditioning, especially since I was traveling from a colder climate. However, upon checking in, the receptionist and staff failed to inform me that the AC was not functioning. Later that night, when I called the front desk to report the issue, I was told that it was out of service for maintenance and that I could choose to leave if I wished. I couldn't help but wonder why this crucial information wasn't communicated to me at check-in, as it would have allowed me to seek alternative accommodations right away.

Broken airconditioning in the entire hotel, they said we should open the window. It was very hot in the hotel and the window could only open completely, which is not very safe on lower floors and insects could enter the room. Issues with the staff to use the free welcome drink voucher, we booked for 2 but the staff said we only had 1 welcome drink which was incorrect. The staff then also said the drink we orderded was not included but it was a normal drink and we had it in other hotels within All acor before. He then checked with somebody in the restaurant and it was "fine". No compensation for the broken airconditioning so not worth the money you pay for this hotel.
