Excellent hotel, 5 minutes walking distance from Amersfoort center. Perfectly clean, with large and comfortable rooms, providing all needed business services and with friendly personnel. Moreover - at least during our stay - the rate provided a very high value for money ! Highly recommended

I really enjoyed a very large room (not the basic category) with bay windows, a couple of armchairs and a great bathroom with a wide shower! The breakfast is really amazing with hot and cold options, sweet and savory..... The bar area is nice and welcoming The only 2 things that could be improved on in my opinion: the very limited selection of drinks for the "welcome drink" for members Second day scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry when they were perfectly most the first day! I will be back!

Our stay at the hotel was disrupted by a major water leak from the ceiling in the corridor, outside the room next to ours. The corridor was badly flooded and the local team then used heavy duty vacuums to remove the water and dry the carpet. This was extremely noisy and lasted until circa 2 in the morning. No-one contacted us to explain what was going on, but when we complained about the noise at midnight, we were told we could go to the bar for a complimentary drink - which neither of us wanted so late at night. The following morning when we checked out, we raised the issue with Max on the front desk, who offered us complementary breakfast. We explained that it was now nearly mid day, and that this was of limited value given that we had paid 140 Euros for the room and not been able to sleep until 2 in the morning. Max said he would pass the issue on to the hotel manager and ask them to contact us. 10 days later, they still have not contacted us. I travel for work a great deal, and am away circa 100 nights per year. This was my first stay in a Mercure hotel for some time, and i was very disappointed. I fully understand that burst pipes and accidents happen, but the correct response would have been to contact us as early as possible and offered us a different room earlier in the evening. This lack of care was further compounded by zero follow up by the hotel team, for a disruption which must have impacted several guests.
