Mercure Hotel Bonn Hardtberg

Great hotel, staff there is nice. The only flaw is that bath door’s lock was broken. We were staying here during gamescom, thus a little bit overpriced.

Room was nice and clean. Staff at the front desk and the bar especially wasn’t very polite. I travelled with a large group of colleagues and it seemed like they didn’t like to have to serve that many people. The breakfast was good but a hour prior closing, there were already breakfast items missing and no been stocked back. At the morning of Dec 24, we were asked to leave the hotel by 10am as it was closing (never heard of such a thing before!).

This place is far from the center. The bus ride to the center takes about 40min. So if u booked here u would need a long time to get to the center by bus. Also the rooms are basic but clean. The one thing I needed , the safe, didn't work and when I asked at the desk they couldn't offer me any options. The room itself looks clean and is enough for a short stay. For a longer stay it would be maybe too small. At the desk the staff is friendly and attentive.
