You should expect a regular Mercure Hotel. Nothing too fancy but serving its purpose. I booked accommodation and car parking for 14 days. The price value was extremely good. Regardless I didn’t expect the taxi costs to the airport (10-15 mins) to be between 40-50€ per way. Could have booked the DUS airport parking instead for less money. But my fault in doing enough research.

Close to the airport, thus two stars for that. I didn't need a plane though, just a place to stay for one night. Elevator is tiny, build in 1976, this age also reflects on the rest of the hotel. Upside being that unlike a lot of similar newer hotels it has a bathtub albeit a rather narrow one. Cards used are magnetic, putting them in your phone wallet will erase them and lock you out of the room. Common issue as this is the first thing reception mentioned when creating a new card. Doors can be difficult to close when leaving the room, which was reflected by several other guests leaving the door open when checking out. The room has no fridge. Location is pretty barren, some fields and other hotels, nothing else to entertain / shop within walking distance. Would stay again for a simple overnight stay, just for the purpose of passing through though. I would not recommend it for a recreational or longer term stay.
