Mercure Hotel Duesseldorf Ratingen

Very nice hotel and perfectly located on my drive between the UK and Poland. Very well organised, large rooms with comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Safe and quiet carpark at the back. Slept very well and could continue on my journey the next morning. Great price for a quick stopover. I will definitely keep coming back.

It is a great hotel to stay overnight when you have a flight to/from Düsseldorf. The hotel has a great park sleep and fly arrangement. Unfortunately upon arrival (around dinner time) the restaurant was closed so it was no longer possible to get something to eat. Forced to go to the McDonald's across the road.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our European tour with our two young children and my spouse. As an ALL Accor Diamond member, I can confidently say that this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. To begin with, the staff responsible for cleaning the rooms was extremely problematic. Starting two hours before the official check-out time, she came to our adjacent rooms six times to ask when we would leave. We told her the check-out time was 12:00, but she insisted she needed to clean the room before that. Eventually, she told us we had to leave the room and spoke to my wife in a very disrespectful and rude manner. I won't even go into the fact that there was no air conditioning in the rooms, water was not complimentary, and the hotel itself was quite dirty. The incident with the staff truly upset us and made this the worst accommodation experience of our lives.
