Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf City Center

We came as a family, got a nice upgrade into a bigger room, very flexible and accommodating treatment by all staff to satisfy our needs. The place is comfortably close to the train station, but not so much as to be exposed to the downsides of German train stations. It is also not new and fancy but is astonishingly quiet and satisfies all needs, particularly the technical ones.

Another great experience at Mercure. Really neat. We parked under the hotel. We left it there for a few extra hours at a reduced rate. Without us having indicated it in advance, we got two rooms next to each other and with a bath. That was also very nice. The staff was super helpful and understanding. They themselves indicate that they are a business hotel, but me and my family got everything we wanted and needed. The square in front of the hotel does give a special atmosphere with the palm trees. It also makes it unique. From there you are super close to the Japanese district, Central Station, the metro and super nice restaurants. Recommended

Good location, good soundproofing, courteous staff. But the rooms and hallways really need a renovation because it's literally wear and tear. Especially the bathroom needs a refurb asap. Other than that, it's a decent hotel with a fair price.
