Mercure Hotel Frankfurt Eschborn Ost

My mom flew across the world to visit for a week and this hotel made the experience less than enjoyable. The shower was broken, curtain ripped, carpet dirty, etc. We ate at the hotel restaurant multiple times and one evening went outside to enjoy our own snack at a table by the pool. There are 10+ tables out there and only 1 other person was outside. We were told by restaurant staff we weren't allowed to sit there because it's for customers only (despite the fact we are paid guests and only one other person was even dining) and to go back to our rooms if we wanted to eat our snack. So our one nice weather evening of the trip we were sent back to our rooms. I can understand this policy if the restaurant was busy and they needed the tables, but if it's empty there's no reason someone can't sit there. They have one alternative picnic table which was covered in bird poop and nasty. The pool was freezing and dirty so I doubt we could have used it even if the weather was nicer. There is also paint chipping off the walls, vape machines, etc. Over all it's way overpriced and I'm sad so much money was spent on this place. My mom flew all this way to be stuck in a nasty hotel.

Terrible Experience, Would Not Recommend. I had a truly disappointing stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was extremely rude and disrespectful. Instead of being welcoming, they spoke to us in a condescending and unfriendly manner, making us feel very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the room was far below acceptable standards. The towels provided had visible stains on them and did not look clean at all. The overall hygiene of the room left much to be desired, and it was clear that proper cleaning protocols were not being followed. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff’s attitude and the lack of basic cleanliness completely ruined our stay. There are much better options out there—avoid this place if you can!

Terrible Experience – Absolutely Do Not Recommend This was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. The location is terrible – it’s literally in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of Frankfurt, with no grocery stores, no restaurants, nothing around. The rooms are awful: No fridge, no kettle for hot water. We didn’t even get the room we booked; the receptionist told us the manager had changed our rooms without informing us. The air conditioner was broken. The room was filthy: we found a cockroach, spider webs, and other insects. The bathroom was so old it had turned yellow. Everything about the room felt dirty and extremely outdated. To make matters worse, as we were checking out, they falsely accused us of breaking the wardrobe door and the bed in room 125 – things that were already broken when we arrived. When we complained about everything else (cleanliness, AC, insects, etc.), they asked why we didn’t also complain about the broken furniture, as if that was somehow our fault. This hotel is extremely old, completely unsuitable for anyone to stay in, and not even close to acceptable living standards.
