Mercure Hotel Frankfurt Eschborn Sued

Location was excellent for us, very near to S-Bahn station so ease access to Frankfurt and beyond. Hotel was clean neat and tidy. Reception was excellent and the room fantastic. Our only complaint was we agreed to have 2 free drinks under the “green” initiative which still meant our room should still have been cleaned on one day, unfortunately this did not happen however on leaving the GM did issue us extra All points as an apology.

Overall the hotel looks tired and dated with a few modern touches. Rooms are very basic and not well appointed. Service by hotel staff was good in my experience though there are times when more reception staff would be advisable. The breakfast was ok, though I noted a few mornings where there were more customers than available space or breakfast options- this also meant long queues at the one coffee machine. The hotel location is poor , there is a railway line beside the front of the hotel that is loud and active from early am (5.30am one morning in my experience). I really hope that I won’t be back

Rooms service is very rudimentary. No real cleaning of surfaces and of the floor. The coffee cups were cleaned in the sink of the bathroom and dried with the hand washing towel. Most of the lights did not work. No water kettle for making tea in the room. Worst of all, though, hewas that even after pointing out the problems at the reception, the hotel could not fix any them but was blaming the "Fremdfirma" for their unqualified staff. Gross! Never again.
