Mercure Hotel Köln West

The room was clean, also the bathroom was. The room had a kettle, a tv and a fridge, they were working just fine. The staff was so helpfull, so sweet and so nice literally love them all 🎀 shoutout to that one girl on the reception, she helped us a lot 😭🥰 i unfortunately dont remember her name. The hotel is pretty close to the tram and a bus stop so the transportation was really easy and accesible. I definitely recommend the hotel

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a highly disturbing incident that occurred during my stay. At exactly 8:45 AM, I was abruptly woken up in complete shock and distress as a member of the cleaning staff opened my door without permission. Despite me clearly saying “no” multiple times — at least ten — the staff member did not close the door immediately. This was not only a gross invasion of my privacy, but an incredibly inappropriate and unsettling way to be woken up. It left me shaken and deeply uncomfortable. I cannot emphasize enough how unacceptable this experience was. No guest should ever start their day this way. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed to ensure it does not happen again to me or any future guest.

After staying at this hotel about a month ago i would recommend staying for the price as its cheap however the location is not great as its in a industrial estate and not much nearby however the tram is close to the hotel. Regarding service when i stayed for a week they charged us for a cleaning fee as they claimed we stained the bed with a coffee stain, however this was not the case as the bed sheets and the mattress protector were completely unstained. As we went into cologne center for some food and drinks we arrived later on 1/2am upon arrival our cards to our room did not work while all of our valuables were in the hotel room. we went down to reception and explained our cards were not working and she told us we HAD to pay a charge of 100euros which we spoke about and eventually the reception staff told us we could discuss it with the manager the next day upon arriving in our hotel room we emailed the manager and send photos for proof.Also the room was not even cleaned or restocked with toilet roll or clean towels ect. The next day we got a letter in the room regarding the situation they knocked off 30euros however they completely avoided any proof we sent regarding the stain and basically just said we are charging you if you like it or not. so in total we had to pay a 70euro fine for a stain that was not our fault if anyone stays here i would highly recommend taking photos of absolutely everything just so they cant just charge you for something you did not do.
