Mercure Hotel & Residenz Checkpoint Charlie

We had a group of 9 people in 4 rooms at this hotel for a long weekend. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. We only had breakfast in the hotel once because it's quite expensive but we spent a lot of our evenings in their outdoor space drinking coffee, beer & wine. Everyone was super impressed by the location, the accommodations, and the price.

My favorite hotel in Berlin. I used to live in the city so I come back to visit quite often. Therefore I’ve been to lots of different hotels these past few years but since I discovered that Mercure I only go there. The room are spacious and most of them have balconies. It’s ideally located (2 subway lines super close) But the best feature of this hotel is the staff. They’re all very welcoming and super friendly. They always do their very best for me to be as comfortable as possible. I would like to especially thank the front office manager who has shown such a great sense of service every single time I stayed there (so 10 times at the very least) !

We had a pleasant stay! The location was absolutely ideal—close to everything we wanted to see—and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a great variety and quality that set a positive tone for the day. While the room itself was quite basic and the shower could have used more attention (we noticed some black mold), it still served its purpose for a short stay. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for convenience and great service.
