Mercure Hotel Severinshof Köln City

I really love this comfortable hotel. We booked two rooms, and one of them is a family suite. It's very spacious, and the living room has huge windows on two sides, which lets in a lot of natural light. The whole place feels so incredibly comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is that there are many homeless people at the subway station #17 right outside the hotel. They won't do you any harm or harass you, but if you're traveling with children, walking past them can be quite stressful. So, if possible, it's best to take the bus or use subway lines #3 or #4 instead.

Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service We had a fantastic stay – the service from all the staff was truly 5-star and made the experience special. The location was ideal for us, in a quieter area but still just a 15-minute walk to the city center, which might be something to consider depending on your preferences. The hotel is extremely dog-friendly, which was a big plus, and we were pleasantly surprised to find many of the nearby Hofbräu pubs welcoming dogs as well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the bar area had a great atmosphere with excellent service. The only minor issue was a slight odor in both of the rooms we booked – nothing overwhelming, but noticeable. Still, it didn’t detract significantly from our overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again. The staff are what truly set this hotel apart.

Good hotel for a 3 day break. Room was spacious. Station to right was a little noisy but ok with windows closed. Transport easy as rail and bus directly outside. Plenty of storage in the room for clothes and luggage. Shower was a little awkward as you needed to get into it on the slope of the bath but with no grab rail. Staff pleasent but not much space in lobby to relax as most tables set for food therefore felt obliged to have a drink Good luggage storage if needed before check-in or after check out. Would recommend
