Mercure Koh Samui Beach Resort

I had an amazing stay at Mercure Samui Chaweng Tana – it strikes the perfect balance between comfort, style, and convenience, right in the heart of Chaweng. The hotel has a modern tropical vibe and a peaceful atmosphere, even though it’s just steps away from all the action. The location is ideal – only a short stroll to the beach and about 10-15 minute walk to Central Samui (their mall), shops, restaurants, and everything you need for a great time in Samui. If you can, book an ocean-view room – watching the sunrise every morning was absolutely magical. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, with all the essentials you’d expect. I really appreciated how quiet it was at night despite being in Chaweng – it made winding down after a day in the sun so easy. One of my favorite surprises came from the housekeeping team – they created lovely floral decorations on the bed every day. Their creativity and attention to detail truly made each return to my room feel special. The rest of the staff were just as fantastic. From the friendly front desk to the warm and welcoming restaurant and bar crew, everyone went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The pool area is another highlight – peaceful, well-kept, and perfect for lounging with a drink or diving into a good book. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with a solid mix of local Thai options and familiar Western favorites – definitely something for everyone. Some might find the breakfast options limited, and probably the same everyday - but I’m on a low-cal diet so a smaller menu options work for me. You also must book their firedance dinner: the show is awesome and the dinner is delicious. If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable, and beautifully run hotel in Chaweng that offers both convenience and a relaxing escape, Mercure Samui Chaweng Tana is a fantastic choice. I’d absolutely stay here again!

Our experience was great, but made all the better by the beach bar staff. Appreciated the fact that after our first interactions with the hotel, they knew our room number, so we didn't have to keep repeating ourselves as we've had to do in other hotels on our trip. Rooms and service where great to. I feel you have a winning policy by the way the hotel was run. So we both thank you greatly and will definitely stay again. A huge shout out to Blue, the lady at the pool bar. She helped make our stay memorable and in my eyes should be promoted

I was on a family holiday, was a 1st for my baby girl. The hotel provided the cot for the room which was nice. The rooms were clean and well maintained though the lack of basic dental and shave kit felt weird. All in all the stay was nice with some shortcomings, which I wouldn't consider a deal breaker by any means, just that small heads up would've been nice if you're doing something a little out of the ordinary. Lastly, the mosquitoes on the open areas was bit annoying, something the hotel should definitely look into, getting dengue or malaria on a holiday would've been very difficult.
