Very good hotel near Kyoto Station. We have stayed for 5 nights this time while we have stayed 4 nights last year. Various convenient stores and highly-rated restaurants nearby. Room is comparatively spacious and decently decorated. Breakfast is nice with very generous choices of food and drink. Highly recommended and will surely choose to stay here again in our next visit to Kyoto.
The hotel is very modern and furnishings have been carefully chosen along the origami theme. Rooms are cosy and of a decent size compared to hotels across the country. Breakfast spread was good. Laundromat nearby was a blessing. Hotel is a fair bit of walk from Kyoto station despite the name but there is good bus connectivity for tourist spots.
We started our trip in Japan at the Mercure Kyoto Station, and it was the perfect way to begin our experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was spotless, and the overall comfort was excellent. It’s also a very quiet hotel, so we were able to rest really well after long days exploring. The buffet breakfast was very complete, offering both Japanese and continental options – a great way to start the day. Overall, we’re very happy with our stay and definitely recommend this hotel!
