Mercure La Rochelle Vieux Port Hotel

We had a fantastic time at this property. We stayed in one of their privilege rooms overlooking the port, with a decent sized balcony. We loved every minute of it. The hotel is nicely maintained, cleaned, with nice lobby area, big bar and restaurant and even a pool outside with a really nice terrace. There is nothing bad I can say about this hotel and I would stay again without hesitation.

Best 4 star hotel I’ve ever been to, amazing location. 5 star service and room condition and decor. Beautiful pool and terrace area. I had booked early and had mentioned my husband’s birthday, and was happily surprised when I checked in to discover we had been upgraded to a prestige room with a view on the port. The complimentary local honey was appreciated. Delicious and aboundant breakfast buffet. Great bacon. We will be back for a multiple-night stay.

Good location , very welcoming and friendly staff on reception. Secure parking and a bike store.. Some suggestions are that the hotel needs a room service or snack menu, not just the pricy restaurant option (which is limited ) ..missed opportunity No.1....if you check out early the coffee shop isnt ready so you can't take a nice coffee on your journey..that's missed opportunity No.2 ..and pillows are rock hard which is a shame as the rooms are nice ..so some little areas to change that can enhance the stay. Lastly the cleaning team where in my hallway from 8am to 3-4pm and I never had my room tidied once during a 2 night stay ...disappointed!
