Mercure Le Mans Batignolles Hôtel & Spa

Friendly welcome. Staff happy to speak in English. Looks like the whole hotel got a revamp in the last few years. Stayed for one night enroute to the ferry. Got takeaway from the Thai restaurant across the road and ate in the lobby as the hotel restaurant was closed on a Sunday. There is a new swimming pool that the whole family used. Would highly recommend staying here as a base to explore the area (Le Mans old town is very picturesque) or overnight enroute to your destination.

A special mention for Liantsoa very attentive and I can see this young lady as a future Manager. Excellent rapport very kind and brilliant service. Recommend on Reception followed by Duty Manager role Liantsoa deserves it. As a platinum guest I was very impressed.

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. It was okay for one night, but overpriced for what it offers. The staff was friendly, and I stayed with my dog with no issues during check-in or the stay. There’s no minibar or complimentary water — only water fountains in the hallway, but they didn’t look clean. The hotel restaurant was closed during my stay, so overall it was fine for a short stop, but not worth the price.
