Mercure London Bankside

Stayed here for a work event. Hotel was nice, comfortable rooms, good location. But I was really impressed with the service… I left something in the room and they made it easy for me to arrange for a royal mail to collect it. They even packaged it up in a box to make sure it got back to me in one piece! Thanks so much!

Amazing stay!! Super nice staff, especially Ola at the front desk, most welcoming and super attentive. The rooms are spacious and clean. I loved the breakfast and also staff at F&B were friendly and always smiling. Would definitely book and return!!

This hotel offers a good experience overall. We travelled as a couple Rooms are larger than London average, even though they need some restyling. Moquette is very old. The “king size” bed is made by two single beds put together with two different toppers, so it’s like sleeping in two separate beds. Service is good but there is room for improvement. Two days out of three, we had to ask for coffee capsules which had not been replaced. We also had to ask for extra slippers as initially they only provided us with one pair. One night we had a drink at the hotel and the guy who served us gave us an incorrect list of what we could get as welcome drinks. The list was further reduced by the fact that he was not able to prepare alcoholic drinks. When we checked-in the room was ready a couple of hours in advance, which I always appreciate given that we are requested to provide our arrival time in advance. We got a complimentary piece of cake for my husband’s birthday. Reception staff is very friendly and accommodating.
