Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux Arts

The hotel is perfectly located for a city trip and due to the location in a limited traffic zone, it’s also quiet for a good night’s sleep. Our room (Privilege room) was well equipped and we liked the separation of toilet and bathroom. Bedding was very comfortable. Our only suggestion for improvement is that the breakfast room is really small and dark, it can get very crowded and there were often waiting lines for the single coffee machine in the area.

This hotel was gorgeous! Camilla at the front desk was absolutely incredible! We got in very early and she was so nice about holding our bags and telling us about things in the area. She was so sweet and had so many recommendations for cocktail places and even had a little booklet with places she liked to go and drinks she enjoys! She made our first trip to Lyon so special !!

This hotel cannot be beat for convenience. Walking distance to several of the squares, the funicular, the arts museum, dozens of cafes, bouchons, and bars. I diligently researched our Lyon hotel selection, and every time we passed one I had not chosen, I thought, wow, I'm so glad we didn't stay there! Mercure staff was helpful, and a nice breakfast selection was included in our room. The bathroom was well designed. The dark carpet in the rooms has seen better days and the decor is a bit dated, but overall cleanliness was good. This was a perfect choice for us.
