Mercure Lyon L'Isle d'Abeau

The staff at the reception needs to be better trained. As Allacore Gold and frequent travellers we did not receive any welcome amenity, nor did staff know about it at the front desk. We were also not allowed to take our welcome drinks the next morning (due to arriving late, we didn’t have time), which was always possible in any of the other Allacore Hotels we ever stayed with over the past years. The EV charger indicated for the hotel is also not owned by the Mercure - therefore, not free of charge; a bit of false advertising on the hotels part. Rooms are clean, but tiny. We do not intent to come back and rather choose the other Allacore options available in Lyon.

we stayed 3 nights in February. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. the renvoated rooms are quite small, also we were supposed to have a superior room. Worst is the toilet. Must be the smallest toilet room I ever stayed in. Quite tricky to get in and shut the door. THe designer mus have been a child. bathroom little bigger but even 1 single hook to hang a towel on. No bathrope or skippers to use pool/ "wellness" area. Its not really part of the hotel as it is open for public. Pool can be used as long as their are no classes for gym members. the whole wellness area is very run down and looks nothing like the photos on the internet. Needs defintely to renovated.Food in Restaurant is nice, breakfast is very good. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Value for money is bad. Paying almost 600€ for 3 nights, you get normally a lot more.

No fridge in room or outside even though colleague did have one, no do not disturb card to stop daily cleaning, breakfast poor made colleagues ill.
