Mercure Mactan Cebu

This is a comfortable value for money hotel. The rooms are a good size. The bed is comfortable. The views were stunning from our room. It has a pool, a poolside bar and a second impressive bar located next to their restaurant. The burgers from their restaurant are amazing. Their breakfasts are nice. The location is perfect. It is a short walk to the local shops and the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Greta at the front desk and to Chris in the restaurant and to all the other fantastic staff. We have stayed here three times and plan to return soon

Better business hotel compared to its sister hotel (Savoy Hotel). Rooms are neat and fairly new. Amenities for free use include the swimming pool, gym, and saunas on the 3rd Floor. Beach club (Mactan Newtown Beach) is accessible and shared with Savoy Hotel, but beach service is only until 4 PM (while the beach closes at 6 PM). Breakfast is great and with varied choices. Hotel lobby and breakfast area were not crowded during our weekday stay. The best factor during our stay was the warm welcome and smiles of the staff, plus them being greatly helpful during our stay.

Not great for the price. This is likely better suited as a 3 star hotel. I wont come back. Showers are low pressure & luke warm at best. No hot steamy shower like you would need after 20 hrs flight. Maintenance was unable to resolve this issue. We ordered the famous inasal dish. Room service brought us a plate of chicken bones. Instead of replacing, we had to order it again and pay twice. Can hear other rooms / doors during the night
