Back again and still loving it! 🥰 Second stay at Mercure Caroline Springs in just two months ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Excellent Stay at Mercure Caroline Springs We had a wonderful experience at Mercure Caroline Springs! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable — especially the bed! We loved the view over the lake, and the balcony was a beautiful touch for a quiet morning coffee. The location is perfect with shops, cafes, and restaurants just a short walk away. Parking was easy and convenient. We also enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, including the on-site bar and restaurant — great food and even better service! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Will definitely be returning. Our home away from home 😍 Receptionist Magda was absolutely wonderful—so welcoming and engaging! She recognized us from our first visit and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable. To our delight, she even told us we’d been upgraded—how exciting! Her warmth and attention to detail truly made our stay special once again 🙏🧚🏻♀️
Great location by the lake and the bistro has a nice vibe. However, the room’s interior design wasn’t really my taste — the green, gray, and brown colour scheme felt quite dated. The bed was a good size and the balcony was a plus, but the chairs were rusty. The shower room ceiling had yellow water marks, which says a lot about the maintenance standards. The shower itself was worse than the one at the gym, which I didn’t expect at this price point. There’s a small pool, Jacuzzi, and gym, but these could be more generously sized given the size of the building. Also, there’s no gym access after 9pm, even though the door sign says open until 10pm. Their bond is \$250 while other places with better facilities only hold \$50–\$100. It’s really the location that keeps this place going — otherwise I’d recommend looking elsewhere for the price.
After reading such high reviews prior to booking I had every confidence this would be a highlight stay of my trip, it WASN'T!!! I only wish Google would allow me to upload photos but some reason it won't. Definitely felt catfished by the hotel’s online photos they might as well have been AI generated. The reality? Very VERYYYYY different. Struggling to understand how this place still holds a four star rating. Feels like those stars were awarded in a different decade…and no one’s checked back since. best part of this stay was checking out.
