Mercure Mulhouse Centre

My ten-night stay at the Hôtel Mercure Mulhouse Centre, from April 25th to May 5th, offered a convenient base for exploring Mulhouse and the surrounding Alsace region. The hotel's prime location, directly opposite the main train station (Gare de Mulhouse) and close to tram stops, was a significant advantage, making arrivals, departures, and local excursions exceptionally easy. The historic city center is about a 10-15 minute walk away. Major attractions like the Musée de l'Impression sur Étoffes, Cité de l'Automobile, and Cité du Train are easily accessible. Its position is also ideal for day trips to nearby Swiss and German border areas, or along the Alsace Wine Route. The hotel presents a contemporary feel in its common areas. The lobby is welcoming, and the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth. My privilege room at the Mercure Mulhouse Centre had view over the park and was well soundproofed, which was a plus given the central location and the vicinity to the tram line. Standard amenities like minibar with refreshments, in-room safe, desk, Nespresso machine, and coffee/tea-making facilities were provided. Wi-Fi was available and generally reliable. The buffet breakfast offered a good selection of international and local products, although the coffee quality may be improved. The staff was professional, welcoming, and attentive and the housekeeping was generally good. However, as a Gold All Accor member, I missed the personal handwritten note and welcome amenity from the Hotel Manager, a gesture that was happily received in most of the hotels in the Accor network.

A great hotel in Mulhouse. We’ve only stayed for 1 night but we will definitely choose it again, for our next trip to the region. The room was gorgeous, clean and spacious (we received an upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise). The staff was also pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Also, we came by 2 cars, and we had no problem finding parking spots at their private parking, we had no reservation in advance. Really recommend this hotel.

Basic hotel, needs renovation, no 4 stars worth, should say max 3 stars, room was not clean, dust, carpet was wet on some areas, low hygiëne, breakfast (at 8.30) not enough tables free, coffeemachine very dirty, not enough bread, everybody was asking at the waitresses for food and drinks and tellers and coffee tasses and …. ( they were very friendly), in the bar they did not know to serve a rhum, finally the 4th person could bring me a rhum
