Mercure Northampton

Service from check in to check out was smooth and efficient. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. The car park situation was not clear from the website or other reviews but although this is a pay and display car park there is free parking for residents, obtained by validating the car registration in the hotel lobby. We didn't take up the offer of breakfast as we were meeting friends for brunch in the town centre which is a short walk from the hotel.

I recently attended a conference at the Mercure Hotel Northampton and was very pleased with the overall experience. The conference facilities were well-equipped and comfortable, with everything running smoothly throughout the day. The staff were professional, attentive, and made sure all attendees were well looked after. Refreshments were regularly available, and the lunch provided was of good quality. The location is convenient, with easy access to parking and the town centre. A great venue for business events – thank you to the team at Mercure Northampton!

overall the hotel itself was nice and clean, rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were so hard my neck is killing me now, but i do get that this is personal preference so I'm not rating them down for that. What i am rating them down for though, was that we were put on the first floor directly above the conference hall, which was hired out for a party that night. I may of been able to sleep with the hard bed, but the vibration through the room from the party below ensured i didn't sleep. I don't get why, if you have a loud event on you wouldn't put the guests of said event above the venue and other guests on the upper floors so they aren't disturbed by it. Breakfast was nice, except the coffee, got a cup but couldn't drink it.
