We had a travel mishap that brought us back to Paris unexpectedly and rerouted our train through the Gare de Lyon. After dealing with this we wanted an easy accommodation, comfortable room and easy access to the station. We arrived at our hotel just before 14:30 and were able to go straight to our rooms at check-in and freshen up before going about our day. Our hotel was fantastic and it made our departure this morning so seamless and allowed us some extra sleep to fight off our jet lag. Thank-you for a pleasant and unexpected stay!!
Good room for the money. Service was ok, a little warm welcome would have been nice (grumpy lady). Had a nice breakfast with some privacy. Location is right at the train station, however you still might have a little trouble finding it, since that train station is a complete maze. Directions to the hotel are highly recommended.
We had a terrible experience with the hotel staff even though we did not stay there. In our short 15 min interaction, we experienced rude, unhelpful, unethical and dishonest service. We had booked to leave our luggages to be stored for a few days under Nannybag as we were taking a train out of Gare de Lyon to Chamonix. We were told by the staff member in a rude voice that our booking has been cancelled in the morning, and we could no longer leave our bags at the hotel. When I showed them that it’s not reflected as cancelled on Nannybag, the staff member told me it will take time. However, it was absolute lies. We scrambled to find another hotel nearby that could hold our luggages. We even had to pay more to store it. Now, Nannybag says they can’t refund us the money because Mecure did not cancel our booking and indicated we have used their service. Absolutely dishonest, and I can’t believe such a big hotel chain would do this. Do think twice before booking any form of service from this hotel.
