Despite all the negative reviews, I can tell something is changed because I found an incredibly clean hotel, rooms included. Not noise in my room, with double windows. The food was very good and the staff kind and always available. Based on all the other reviews I can tell they're getting better.
I'm a business owner, and an Accor hotel regular customer. I stayed 5 straight days. 1/ The rooms and the building are clearly outdated. The only strong point is the bedding quality. Shower is bare minimum for a 4 stars. Everything else should be trashed. Mosquito systemic issue. On room matter, shamelessly overprice. 2/ Location is what is. Good connection to cab, public transport, national roads and international airport. Don't go there for neighbourhood. 3/ The restaurant and bar staff is holding the walls. From the menu to the drink selection and recommandation from the staff, this is a no brainer 5 stars from service to food and drinks quality. But ( even this is a managerial or more probably an executive issue ) they are under-staffed and clearly under pressure that make them (only sometimes) under perform. Also, the welcome desk quality is unequal. Room cleaning is ok but not on par with expectation of a 4 stars hotel. Executive management should urgently question their operational governance. Strengthen the bar and restaurant segment. Burn and rebuilt the rest on modern standard. The restaurant and bar quality and potential are clearly a differenciator from the neighbouring Marriott and Radisson.
Old rooms, stinky odors, smelling waste water in the room, not good quality amenities and sanitaries, small old toilets with stains, horrible location area (near a waste water facility) with garbage everywhere on the streets around, noisy area with 4 windows that you can’t open because of too much noise. Not able to control heat/air conditioning (coming from a hole and blowing on you all the time). I really don’t know how it is a 4 stars hotel? Not a Mercure standard. Never gonna come back here and definitely the worst quality/price ratio I have ever encountered during my travels. At least the people at the reception were friendly and professional.
