Mercure Paris Montparnasse Raspail

Nice hotel in a nice quiet well located part of Paris, close to 2 different metro lines for getting around the city and a bus stop over the road too. Room was slightly small but to be expected but still nice enough and comfortable, basic room didn’t come with a fridge but had tea/coffee facilities. Staff were always friendly and polite, would definitely stay here again.

Very lovely location with wonderful boulangeries near by. The rooms were quite small but very clean and had everything we needed. We had the bigger room with the extra bed as we were traveling with our toddler but it still felt a bit small. The staff was very kind and friendly. They stored our luggage after check-out so that we could still enjoy Paris until our flight.

I didn’t like this hotel at all. Staff was not that polite, they ask you at the breakfast in a rather aggressive way what your room number is and sometimes they even do it twice. I also didn’t like the breakfast at all. There was little space and it’s too crowded at the breakfast station. Weirdly enough you have to enter a fricking PIN code EVERY TIME you use the elevator I’ve never seen this before. The rooms are noisy as there’s little to no noise isolation to the floor. Prepare to wake up at 07:30 AM when the first guests use the elevator. The rooms also are super small, I don’t even see the reason to book an upgrade, the upgraded room was basically the same size as the normal room. Allegedly it should have been 16m2 but I guess they calculate the balcony meters with it too so the room is maybe 10 square meters and basically only fits a bed. All this for 200€/night
