Mercure Parkhotel Krefelder Hof

Pleasant hotel situated a short distance from the city center but also close to the zoo. It's positioned away from the main street with its own roads to get to the parking, so there's less city noise and the atmosphere is nice and quiet. The hotel is quite spacious and has several wings, as well as an event hall and conference rooms. Breakfast is as you'd expect, but the quality of the food was good. All staff and even other guests in the hotel were really nice, everyone greets each other as they walk by. The parking is not free, you need to validate your parking ticket, but the machines didn't seem to work and an employee helped take care of it swiftly.

Staff were very helpful and kind. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard. The bathroom was amazing and spacious. The WiFi connection came and went, and the food was decent.

The rooms were very spacious and light. Plenty of windows for fresh air. The beds were very good. The fridge had not been cleared out and the food had grown a fungus. The ventilation system in the bathroom only worked at very specific times. These times were set by the hotel. We had a very chaotic check in and check out. And the WiFi was offline during our stay. The reception staff we very friendly and spoke German, English and Dutch very well. The staff in the restaurant and breakfast room were also very friendly but spoke only German, this led to confusion on both sides.
