Mercure Penang Beach

I had a truly wonderful stay at Mercure Hotel Penang. The highlight for me was definitely the superb sea view from my room — it was absolutely healing to wake up and see the wide, calming expanse of the ocean right in front of me. My room was facing the sea, and the view was spectacular both in the morning and during sunset. The room itself was spotless and well-maintained. I was pleasantly surprised by the single beds provided — they were actually super single beds measuring about 4.5 feet wide, offering more comfort and space than expected. The mattress and pillows were just right, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, always ready with a smile and willing to assist whenever needed. Parking was easy and convenient, which is a big plus for guests driving to the hotel. Overall, this hotel offers great comfort, amazing views, and warm hospitality at a reasonable price point. Whether you’re here for a relaxing getaway, a business trip, or just a short break, I highly recommend Mercure Hotel Penang to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended!

1. Ants in room 2. There appeared to be some algae buildup around the poolside filter, which was concerning from a hygiene perspective. I hope the management can address this quickly, as the pool area has a lot of potential otherwise. With better maintenance, this could easily be a 5-star experience. To note i will remove my review if needful can be done. Just wanted to be anonymous.

Disappointed with the front desk service during my recent stay. The receptionist showed poor soft skills, lacked a welcoming attitude and seemed uninterested in guest requests. Accor membership also was not acknowledged or valued at all in this hotel. Overall, the experience was far from what I expected. If you're looking for genuine hospitality and attentive service, it's better to consider other hotels in the area.
