Arrived after midnight, got the spiel and a $200 deposit taken.opened my door to a great noise. A carpet fan drying the entry carpet, as I entered a stench of Mould. No spare rooms to move into, so I open the balcony door to be confronted with a rat on my balcony. Following day I saw housekeeping and requested a can of antiseptic room spray, like Jasol or Glenn 20. I got room deodorant, and she asked me to turn on the carpet dryer- I said no, I want to relax not listen to that. She insisted it went on and I had to repeat myself- no! I want to relx. How about you find me another room or compensate me some way. Never staying again, my chemo visits will be regular and elsewhere.
Old rooms that were relatively clean but could be cleaner as there were still stray hairs in the bathroom. My room had a strange thudding sound every 2 seconds that kept me awake. Staff didn't handle the situation well. The first one forgot about me – said they would call me about a different room but didn't hear anything for about an hour. Second staff tried to palm it off, saying that the noise is normal and just the sound of doors closing. As I tried to explain that it definitely wasn't, the staff shushed me to give it a proper listen and then accepted it wasn't normal. I was told the hotel was fully booked that night and I wouldn't be able to move to another room till the next day but then somehow an available room was found. Not sure how when I was told otherwise but I was just relieved to get a different room. The staff was quite apologetic in the end, which I appreciated, but the overall experience of struggling to sleep and then having to re-explain the issue twice was pretty unpleasant.
I felt as if I was in a backpackers hostel. Paid $236 for Standard king room 1 extra large double bed, which was actually 2 singles pushed together! The lounge looked to unsafe to even sit on & when they say they provide bathroom toiletries its just hand wash, shampoo & conditioner. There was no staff to greet me or anyone else in the lobby until 1 friendly person eventually came to help check people in through the machine. No wonder they only ask $1 for bond. I also emailed the management team that night to provide feedback & a month later no response! Very disappointing, won't be back & won't recommend staying.
