Mercure Porto Centro Santa Catarina

The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city and close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a nice view over the rooftops of Porto. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to give tips or help with reservations. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with lots of options to choose from. One tip: If you arrive late at night, be patient until someone opens the door. I had to wait about 5–10 minutes until security let me in.

I had a wonderful experience at the Mercure Hotel, and I want to give special thanks to Daniela for making my stay even better. She was incredibly sweet, helpful, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Daniela went out of her way to assist with everything I needed, always with a kind smile and a genuinely caring attitude. It’s rare to meet someone so thoughtful and professional at the same time. She truly made a difference in my stay, and I’m very grateful for her outstanding service. Thank you, Daniela!

Recently stayed in the hotel for 4 nights whilst in Porto. The hotel is close to the main train station and within walking distance to a lot of the tourist attractions. Nearby are lots of nice independent restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself is good, all rooms have air conditioning, and the hotel has free wifi. Rooms are spacious as in the bathroom. Reception staff were very good. Would return.
