Mercure Rennes Centre Place Bretagne

I had a lovely one night stay here. I arrived very early to drop off my suitcase and was surprised to be offered a room. This allowed me to get settled and refreshed before the event I was to attend. When asked about adding breakfast to my stay, I checked out the available options and declined because there wasn’t much for a vegan. The hotel manager assured me that a vegan breakfast could be arranged and asked what I would like. When I arrived for breakfast the next morning I was well accommodated with a breakfast that exceeded my expectations. I had a salad of lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced zucchini, freshly prepared for me. They had soy milk, which I requested be heated, and that was arranged. With the warmed soy milk I had hot muesli to my liking, adding chia and flax seeds to the other grains and dried fruit. They even had a selection of gluten-free items including gluten free muesli. They also had almonds, dates, and walnuts that I chose not to add to my muesli. There was bread, fruit and a nice selection of jams that were vegan, but I was well satisfied with my selection.

Lovely hotel. Location was perfect. Close the Marche de Lice and wonderful restaurants. The rooms were spotless and the staff not only professional, they were kind.

Excellent. Huge breakfast. Small bar on mezz floor where you can redeem drinks vouchers or relax and have a selection of non alcoholic drinks. I was upgraded to a new room on 3rd floor facing the quiet inner court. My luggage was taken at 12 long before check in time and when I returned at 14:00 it was already in my room. Fantastic.
