Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale

We had a genuinely wonderful stay at this hotel! We booked a standard double room and requested one with a bathtub, which we were delighted to receive. Room 342 also offered a stunning view of the cathedral, which made our stay even more special. The receptionists were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and the barman was friendly as well. We arrived by car and really appreciated the hotel’s communication. At around 2 am on the day of our arrival, we received a detailed email explaining how to access their parking and offering alternative nearby parking options in case it was full. Around 3pm, we received an SMS confirming that their parking was indeed full. This proactive communication saved us time and hassle. The room was thoroughly cleaned between our two nights, and the tea and coffee supplies were refilled. Small note: The cathedral rings about every 15 minutes from 7 am to 11 pm, but given the location, it was expected and didn’t bother us at all. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Rouen. Thank you for a great experience!

Rooms are on the smaller side, but they are clean, comfortable, and cool. It was nice and cozy. Enjoyed having option of 3 people in the room. Room cleaning came every day. The staff were the diamonds of this hotel. Always went above and beyond and made us feel like in a 5 star hotel. Lobby was clean, spacious, and quiet. Guests were of a good quality as well. Location was EXCELLENT!!!!

We booked this hotel for the location and we were happy with that. But the rooms are a little worn, especially the bathroom we had. There was mould behind the door and it just didn’t feel welcoming as per the standard you’d expect at a Mercure. But all in all it was fine just for a late check in for 1 night. Had we been there for longer we’d have asked to change rooms and I’m sure they would have sorted it as the front desk team seemed really good.
