This venue is nice and central for us. We had a great stay and met up with family for dinner at The Grange Buffet where the food was delicious. Our accommodation was great, enough space for us, comfortable bed, clean room and quiet. One little glitch was that the air conditioning had been left on in our room and as it was set at 16 degrees with the fan on high we walked into a fan forced refrigerator but we soon had it sorted. We had a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning before heading north to finish our trip.
Lobby presented well. Reception attendant provided cheerful service. I was required to input my details into a terminal to check in. That's not great service. The hotel does not accept cash but imposed a high credit card surcharge on payment receipt. (This hasn't shown up on my bank yet though). The room seemed pleasant, but the beds were of cheaper standard, moved unnecessarily easily and didn't provide great support. The room had a constant noticeable echo probably from the air conditioner. And then I had to check myself out again at the terminal. All in all not a great experience.
Stayed here a while ago and thought I’d finally share my thoughts. The room itself was pretty spacious and had a nice view, which I liked. It’s also right across from a bus stop, so getting around was really convenient. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful — big plus there. But there were quite a few things that made the stay feel off. When I checked in, I was given a key card to a room that was already occupied — I walked in on a sleeping couple, which was super awkward and made me feel uneasy for the rest of my stay. The room looked clean at a glance but was actually a bit dusty, and I found a vape inside the safe box, which made me question how thorough the cleaning was. Some of the younger staff seemed to rush through cleaning, but the older staff definitely knew what they were doing and did a much better job. Breakfast was exactly the same every morning — not bad, but definitely repetitive. I was also warned by staff to be careful outside the hotel because of some shady people around the area. The hotel itself felt secure, but the surroundings weren’t super comforting, especially if you’re coming back late. Overall, the location and staff friendliness were solid, but the mix-up at check-in, cleanliness issues, and outdoor safety concerns left me feeling a bit uneasy. Just a heads-up for future guests — there’s potential here, but also a few things to be aware of.
