I recently stayed at Mercure Tetovo and was genuinely impressed by the blend of comfort, hospitality, and stunning scenery this hotel offers. Nestled at the foot of the Šar Mountains, the location alone is worth a visit—waking up to mountain views each morning was a peaceful highlight of my trip. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a bed that struck the right balance between soft and supportive. The bathroom was spotless, and the rain shower added a touch of luxury to the daily routine. Staff at the front desk were warm and attentive, offering helpful local tips without being overbearing. I appreciated how smoothly check-in and check-out went—efficient but friendly. The on-site restaurant had a solid selection of both local and international dishes. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet: fresh pastries, quality coffee, and plenty of options to start the day right. One thing that stood out was the calm atmosphere throughout the hotel. Whether I was working from the lobby or relaxing in my room, it always felt quiet and easy to unwind. It’s a great base if you’re looking to explore the region—or just relax and take in the view. Would I stay again? Definitely. Mercure Tetovo is a comfortable, scenic, and surprisingly elegant spot in a charming part of North Macedonia.
Great stay at Mercure Tetovo. I especially want to say that Beshir at reception went far and beyond helping me out with anything I needed. He understood English which was so helpful to me and made sure other staff knew what I was needing or wanted. 5 stars all the way to Beshir. He also realised that I hadn’t been upgraded and so he helped move me to the room I was supposed to have been in.
My stay at Mercure Hotel was generally good — the service was decent and the conditions were comfortable. However, during the last days of our stay, my colleagues and I noticed that money was missing from our wallets. Although we don’t have direct evidence, I am strongly convinced that this happened during our time at the hotel. This made us feel unsafe and disappointed. I would like to see the staff be more attentive to guest security and take steps to prevent similar situations in the future. Sometimes, it’s not just about the money, but about the feeling of safety and respect for personal privacy.
