Mercure Versailles Paris Ouest

Nice hotel with larger rooms compared to newer budget options. Breakfast is good, and the reception staff are friendly. One day, the parking lot was full — hopefully, every guest is able to find a spot. Large shopping mall nearby.

Hotel was in a very convenient location for us. Staff were great and very friendly. But hotel is very tired and dated, despite what looks like a recent renovation. Room was very clean but a bit scruffy (burn mark on carpet, scuffs on walls etc). Ok for a one night stay but I wouldn’t book again.

Beds are horrible. We had to change 3 rooms to get a bed that could be compared to concrete with a blanket on them. The first 2 where just pure concrete. You have to turn every 30 minutes because its that uncomfartable. Service was ok but lacks polite staff. The manager is annoyed when you complain about the beds. I really advice and challenge the staff to try sleeping a night in those beds and tell me there is nothing wrong with room 128 and 129. Keeping the old boxprings with new matrasses doenst work. You really should try it. The terrain around the building lacks maintenance. Filthy corners and hallways. Not Mercure worthy.
