Mercure White Hart Hotel Salisbury and Apartments

I spent 3 nights here and have nothing but glowing reviews for both the hotel and restaurant. The beds were super comfortable. I had a good sized single that overlooked the courtyard with charming lighting in the evenings. The cleaners were quick and thorough, always accommodating my late starts. The staff were exceptional! No matter which shift, they were always so helpful and personable to this traveling American who always had so many questions. They gladly ordered taxis and held my luggage after check out. The restaurant was also excellent! I ate there twice for dinner and both dishes were delicious! I highly recommend and will definitely stay again on my next trip to Salisbury!

A wonderfully proper dowdy English hotel that rambles through many buildings, the White Hart is an excellent choice for proximity to the cathedral and the downtown. It surrounds a lovely patio, shaded by a large tree, to enjoy drinks on warm summer afternoons. There is air conditioning, but given the cool climate, never had to use it. And did I mention delicious breakfasts?

A quirky hotel in a central location. Rooms a bit basic but adequate. Halfway through our stay we were moved to one of the new apartments, which are excellent. Food (breakfasts were brilliant- could not be better) and general amenities are good. Was very busy during our stay. Lots of stairs and no lift. But, what makes this hotel is the staff, who could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Overall would recommend.
