Mercury Boutique Hotel

First, the landscape is amazing. It is an hotel inside the nature, on the coast near to Cala Sapone. Rooms are comfortable, I found a king size bed and another single bed in my room. The restroom was really wide and very clean. All the staff was so kind and helped me many times to find places and call taxi. So I suggest for it.

We were on vacation with friends in this hotel for 10 days. The hotel is in a beautiful location, the staff is nice and helpful, but the hotel manager is arrogant, doesn't want to solve any problems, avoids, doesn't communicate. The food is terrible, the breakfast buffet is the same every day, one type of salami, a slice of cheese, a hard-boiled egg, three sliced ​​carrots in a small bowl, a cake from the supermarket, croissants, only toasted bread from the pastries. Dinner was even worse, from the kitchen they put a bowl full of pasta with red sauce from a can on the table for us to help ourselves, once there was a "fried chicken schnitzel" which was a semi-finished product, a half-centimeter slice with breadcrumbs, the highlight was hard Bavarian grill sausages. There were NO vegetables for dinner for the entire 10 days. The vegetarian meal was two pieces of fried zucchini or a slice of eggplant with an egg in a small bowl. On the last day, there were insults on our account and a physical attack from the hotel manager. The hotel does not have drinking water, we were given bottled water with our meals, but when we were finally billed, they added the water to our bill, we did not know that we would be paying for it. When paying, the hotel is not able to issue any tax receipt for payment, if you pay in cash, you will not receive any receipt, we at least got a handwritten amount with a stamp. It is a shame that a hotel in such a beautiful environment is run by such an inexperienced person with no respect for guests. Definitely avoid this place.

It’s a shame, Such a waste of a beautiful location ! Went there in August. Please Stay Away from the ‘pool area’. Bathrooms are dirty and don’t have a lock, sun beds are very old and broken. The unkempt grass and poor garden made everything look worst. There were insects everywhere. The full place felt unsafe and in need of a FULL refurbishment. It should be a basic 3 star.
