Definitely recommend this place, I always stay here when I come to Sydney. Conveniently located next to Macquarie Shopping Centre and the Metro. Rooms are spacious and comfortable! Amazing guest services, and lovely staff. We always feel looked after. When Lisa from the front desk found out it was our anniversary, she left a complementary bottle of champagne and chocolates in our room!
I spent two weeks here between late February and early March, and my stay was exceptional on every level. Meriton Suites consistently provide everything a short- or long-stay traveller needs, including a small kitchen, full-sized fridge, washing machine, and dryer. Having stayed at another Meriton location before, I knew what to expect, and this experience met those high standards. The location was another highlight. Situated directly across the road from a large shopping complex (Macquarie Centre), I had easy access to everything I needed—whether it was groceries or a last-minute takeaway craving. With just a quick walk across the road and convenient elevator access, every necessity was within reach. What truly set this particular Meriton location apart, however, was the outstanding staff. A special mention goes to Paolo and Lisa—two incredible individuals who made every interaction an absolute pleasure. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable. Just as Cyclone Alfred was bearing down on my home city, I found myself needing to extend my stay due to cancelled flights and mounting uncertainty. Paolo and Lisa handled everything with professionalism and care, ensuring I could remain in my room with ease and flexibility. Their kindness and efficiency were invaluable during a stressful time, and they are a true credit to the Meriton brand. While all the staff were lovely, Paolo and Lisa stood out for their exceptional service. I am incredibly grateful to have met them on my travels and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Multiple interruptions, fake room service trying to rushing us up while paid $100 late check-out fee. We booked one night, hoping for a peaceful break from work. Instead, we were repeatedly disturbed and felt pressured to leave the room. Fifteen minutes before checkout time, received a call reminding us to leave soon. Fair enough. But then we got another call at checkout time, followed by a third one half an hour later. We were told we’d be charged $100 for late checkout, which we said ok. Still, the interruptions didn’t stop. A staff member even knocked on our door claiming to be “room service,” which made no sense as we didn’t order anything, and we felt very uncomfortable. Even after paying the late checkout fee, we were harassed with calls and in-person checks. It felt like they were rushing us out while charging us for the extra time. When I called to complain, the manager was dismissive and rude, saying just leave a review if you’re not happy. No attempt to understand or resolve the situation?? poor customer service and lack of professionalism. definitely need more training. What a joke.
