Great location for us, The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a bath plus shower above. Everything was very clean. There are power sockets at the bedsides, which are convenient. The tv was a good size, although we did not use it. We ate in the pub both evenings of our stay, there was a great range of food which was of a good standard & the staff were friendly. There was a choice of 2 cask ales plus the usual selection of lager.
Excellent breakfast, plenty of food, very clean environment. Food at a decent price and we left there very happy customers. Next time we shall try staying over in their rooms
Another review I forgot to do, sorry to 'team Mermaid'. Went for pint with a neighbour of mine and we unexpectedly chose to dine whilst there. A medium carvery each. The food was hot and plentiful, all good resulting in empty plates! It's a nice pub/restaurant, improved by recent refurbishment but, for me, not the widest selection of real ales... or I'd defo visit more often. With good food and drink, nice staff and a wide selection of food (plus accommodation) this is a real asset to the town.
