Merpati Studios

We stayed at Merpati for a month. It was fantastic. The family that run this beautiful honestly are warm and friendly: nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean and are cleaned twice a week. Each studio is a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, with then either a small upstairs balcony or a ground floor terrace overlooking gardens. Kitchenette equipped with water dispenser and utensils to prepare simple means. Shower was hot with good water pressure; AC was effective. Swimming pool was maintained very well so was always very refreshing and clean. Limited seating around the pool. Office on site with a family member to assist with any queries. Down a small gang on the western side of the by pass, so a scooter or GoJek required to get out and about. Ten minute drive to the heart of the tourist area of Sanur. No restaurants or shops close by. Our stay was fantastic. We used Merpati as a brilliant value for money home base as we explored the north of Bali; and again as we went to Lembongan. Would totally recommend for a short or long stay.

Merpati is such a hidden gem, the rooms are big with the bonus of a kitchen. Kieren and Gabriel are so kind and helpful, I stayed for 6 weeks and absolutely loved it. The locations super close to the Sanur Harbour and lots of places to eat. After 30+ trips to Bali this has been one of my favourite hotels.

Excellent place to stay. We spent a well here and it was like a home from home. Great WiFi, fridge, air con, hot shower and good pressure. Immaculately clean pillows and bedding. Pool is lovely and great seating areas surrounding it. Location wise, you would need a scooter staying here as it is set back from the beach / main restaurants but the benefit is have the joy of it being very peaceful and quiet. As two pack packers this was an absolute treat to stay in at a very affordable price.
