Stayed at the Hotel Metropol for the long-weekend, and would go back in a heartbeat. Two things stood out for me: the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the place, and the stunning views of the bay. The staff were very friendly with us. My partner said that 'they make you feel at home with a smile', and that's true. Our double room was spacious and clean. Personally, I quite liked the balcony for the privacy it offered, along with an amazing view of the sea. For those like me who live in the city, it was so nice to be greeted by the sun and sea each morning. Location is great too. It’s just up the hills offering great views, yet only a 3 min walk from the beach with its many bars and restaurants, and maybe another 5 min walk from the town centre. You can easily drive into town too, if you want. There’s a large swimming pool tucked away for a swim and sunbathing, which I thought was great to get some quiet time. Overall, I found it very easy to relax and enjoy my time off at a place like this. A really good find for a getaway holiday. Would highly recommend.

The hotel has a beautiful and central location, nice and clean rooms. The pool was pleasantly quiet and the lifeguard was a nice guy. We had booked a room with sea view and had no sea view when standing on the balcony. You had to lean over the railing to see the sea. When we complained about this we were not offered a solution. The breakfast was good and there is nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, dinner was a disaster. When we wanted to return overcooked food, they were not able to offer a better menu. We wanted to give the kitchen another chance and tried a second time. We were disappointed, although we had no more expectations. The Italian cuisine a wonderful, but that cuisine has nothing to do with one. It is possible to make simple dishes very tasty, but this was not possible here. A shame for a restaurant that offers Italian cuisine. At least the drinks of the bar were good, so you could still recover the evening. The driver of the shuttle is super nice and drives decently.

The room was clean, all shared areas clean. Close to the beach- like you can see it! This hotel should not advertise as having a pool! It is nothing more than a paddling pool; doesn’t come above the knee. 12 sun-beds and these are reserved by larger family’s so you can forget it. If I would have knew they didn’t actually have a swimming pool I would t have booked it.
