Had a very nice and comfy stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice variety of food offerings, beautiful settings all over with natural colors, beautiful scenery with well cared for gardens everywhere. Worthy every dollar spend. A sure recommendation to everyone. U don't know what u missing out on. Please plan this location within your holiday destination to be visited.
My parents absolutely loved their room, thank you very much! The food was divine on all occasions. They truly enjoyed it. Some negative feedback was: 1. Their room was not cleaned on Sunday. On Saturday morning they informed housekeeping that refreshing the room would not be necessary, but only requested clean towels and water. On Sunday morning they made a quick trip to Windhoek and placed the “please clean the room” (or something like that) sign on the door. They returned to an unmade room. 2. On Saturday morning they also requested bottled water for the room. They reminded housekeeping at lunch and dinner, and the evening they returned to the room with no bottled water. After 10pm on Saturday evening they accepted that their request would not be honoured. 3. On Sunday evening after dinner, their waiter informed them that dinner was complimentary. They were very surprised, but welcomed the treat. However, on Monday morning upon checking out, reception informed them that the waiter had made a mistake and that the dinner indeed needs to be paid. The negative bits were minor though, and overall they had a great and relaxing experience.
It is beautiful, but in my opinion overrated. The restaurant service is mediocre, the menu items limited. I made reservations well in advanced for a lunch and a hilltop sundowner drive, just to get there and no one knew about the booking. They were a driver short and had to make plans to get in another driver. I was not told that lunch would be a buffet when I booked, and were limited to the pool menu, just to be told that half of the items on the menu is not available. The vintage car museum were cool though and the curio/farmstall is not what it is made out to be on the website. Hmmmm, would I visit again? Probably not.
