Midgardur by Center Hotels

Checking in and out was a breeze. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a dessert plate upon arrival. Additionally, the spa was included in our room booking, which we highly recommend trying out. Breakfast is also included and offers a wide variety of options. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we would definitely consider staying again.

We really loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. It was difficult to find anywhere to open our luggage and not trip over it. However, with the cleanliness and amenities, I would absolutely stay here again. Highlights of this hotel are the location, right near shops, dining and bus stops, but also the onsite hotspring! For about $30 per person, you have access to the spa for the length of your stay. This includes a small gym, sauna, an indoor hot spring, and an outdoor hotspring. What a great way to end a busy day exploring. I'd say the only negative is that breakfast is not included like many hotels in Reykjavik, but it gave us the opportunity to try some other local places and fantastic bakeries in the area. We also enjoyed the onsite restaurant for dinner one night, which was delicious! We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Reykjavik!

Perfect location for walking downtown. It's not IN the crowded/ busy area but right at the start of it so it's easy to walk to all the restaurants and bars. We enjoyed the spa (which is an upcharge- but wanted to have it for our stay since we were hiking). Nice breakfast. It was a great choice for us!
